This year there is a new category, for Diversity & Inclusion. This award, sponsored by Syngenta, seeks to reward a pest management company that recognises the importance of diversity across their business, taking one step further by actively tackling inequalities and removing barriers.

The judges will be looking for a company that has created an inclusive workplace in which all employees of all backgrounds and beliefs are valued with special measures adopted to promote diversity across gender, race, age and to include those with disabilities.

Announcing the awards in Pest magazine this month, Sarah Hughes, Business Manager of Syngenta Professional Pest Management, said: “We understand the key work that pest controllers do, whether they’re a small, one- or two-person operator, up to major multi-national companies – it’s a bit like the fifth emergency service, with many unsung heroes working in the industry. It’s frightening to imagine what the world would be like without pest controllers.”

"We would urge everyone to get involved and enter any of the categories in the Awards. It's an great opportunity to showcase the outstanding work and professionalism across the pest control industry."
