First 5<25 candidate completes Level 2 training

Syngenta and the NPTA are pleased to mark a significant milestone in the 5<25 Professional Futures initiative, as Will Coombs becomes the first candidate to complete the RSPH Level 2 Award in Pest Management training course.

Delivered at the Killgerm training centre, this marks a key step in Will’s journey into the professional pest control industry. 

Having now sat the final exam, Will awaits his results — but his commitment and progress so far are a positive reflection of the programme’s goals.

The NPTA 5<25 programme, supported by Syngenta, was launched to help young people under 25 build a career in pest control — offering structured development, funded training opportunities, and a clear pathway to professional recognition.

NPTA CEO Kevin Lawrenson said: “Will has shown great enthusiasm and dedication throughout his training. Reaching this stage is a credit to him, and we look forward to seeing how he progresses from here. 

"The 5<25 initiative was created to open doors for young people like Will, providing a supported entry into the industry.”
