PPM Technical Seminar – Empowering the Future of Pest Management
Syngenta Professional Pest Management, in collaboration with Agricultural Materials Company (AMC), successfully held the PPM Technical Seminar, Empowering the Future of Pest Management, bringing together pest control operators, government authorities, and key industry stakeholders from across the UAE.
The seminar served as a platform to advance knowledge, strengthen IPM capabilities, and showcase the latest scientific innovations shaping the future of pest management in the region.
Deep Dive Into Pest Biology and Control Best Practices
Throughout the seminar, our colleague Say Piau Lim (Head of Professional Pest Management AMEA&JANZ) explored the biology, behavior, and control strategies for major structural pests including:
- Ants: lifecycle dynamics, division of labor among workers, and targeted control methods
- Cockroaches: resistance challenges, foraging behavior, and baiting optimization
- Flies: habitat preferences, sanitation essentials, and granular bait solutions
- Crickets and Silverfish: environmental factors driving infestations and treatment approaches
Indoxacarb with MetaActive™ Effect
Participants learned how Indoxacarb is bio-activated inside the target insect, delivering a powerful and targeted mode of action while supporting rotation strategies to reduce resistance pressure.
Showcasing Syngenta’s Leading Portfolio of Scientific Innovation
A major focus of the seminar was delivered by our colleague Majdi Abdelrahman (Technical service manager – MENAF region) introducing Syngenta’s advanced insect management technologies designed to elevate performance, reliability, and resistance management across diverse environments.
- Advion® Insect Granular Bait
Demonstrations showcased its high palatability and fast performance compared with competitor baits as unique insect granular bait formulation against wide spectrum of crawling insect for both indoor and outdoor applications.
- Arilon® WDG
As a resistance breaker, Arilon® WDG praised for its non-repellent chemistry and bio-activation within the insect, Arilon® WDG offers precision control that supports clean-out programs and long-term prevention against wide spectrum of crawling and flying insects for both indoor and outdoor applications
- Demand® 10 CS Now Replaces Demand® 2.5 CS
To support improved efficiency, stronger performance, and reduced environmental impact, Demand® 10 CS officially replaces Demand® 2.5 CS. Its optimized formulation allows users to achieve stronger performance by using significantly less amounts of product.
